- Add an EQ on the return to get the tail out of the low mids
- Put a compressor after that
- Route the dry vocal to the compressor's sidechain

Most reverbs treat ducking as an afterthought bolted onto the output. Here the detector drives everything downstream of it.
Three reverb engines
Hall for a natural room, FDN for dense synthetic tails, and Convolution for impulse responses, including your own. Size, decay, pre-delay, damping, modulation, width, diffusion, bass multiplier, crossover and early reflections.
Tempo-synced delay
Straight or ping-pong, locked to host tempo by note division or free in milliseconds. Feedback with its own low-cut and high-cut, so repeats darken the way a tape line does instead of piling up.
Shimmer
Pitch-shifted feedback at +12, +7, +24, −12 or a stacked +12/+19, with its own feedback control. Sits inside the tail rather than on top of it.
Wet-path EQ
Four bands over the wet signal only. The outer two switch between shelf and pass filters at 12, 24, 36 or 48 dB per octave. Shape the space without touching the dry source.
Routing and output
Run reverb and delay in parallel, or chain them either way round. Wet solo for setting the tail in isolation, plus independent mix, wet level and output trim.
Presets and impulse responses
Save your own patches and drop in your own IRs. Both live in a plain folder under Documents that the plug-in can open for you. Nothing is locked in a database you cannot get at.

The download is the full plug-in. Without a licence it runs in demo mode: every twenty seconds the audio drops out for five, then fades back in. Nothing else is held back. Every engine, every parameter, presets and your own impulse responses all work.

Turning the demo into the full version
Three steps, once
- Buy it. You get an email to choose a password.
- Open ReFolvk in your DAW and sign in with that email address and password.
- That is it. The plug-in stores its licence and never contacts us again.
The plug-in then shows Licensed to: your name in the bottom right. The sign-in happens once, on the machine you are activating. From then on it runs entirely offline.

How do I get the plug-in after paying?
Checkout is handled by Paddle. The moment the payment confirms we create your account and email you a link to choose a password, along with a download link. That usually lands within a minute. If it has not arrived after ten, check spam and then mail us. Every order is recoverable.
You then open the plug-in, sign in once, and it activates itself. There is no licence file to keep track of and nothing to copy into a folder.
What exactly does the demo hold back?
Nothing, except silence. Every feature is unlocked: all three reverb engines, the full trigger section, your own impulse responses, presets, the lot. The only difference is that unlicensed, the audio mutes for five seconds once every twenty, dry signal included, with a short fade so it does not read as a crash.
There is no time limit, so you can take as long as you want to decide.
I forgot my password.
Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in page and you will get a fresh one by email. It works once and expires after a day.
There is nothing else to lose. Your purchase lives on your account, not in a file you have to keep safe, so a wiped drive costs you nothing.
Will it run on my Mac?
It needs macOS 11 or later. ReFolvk is a universal build, so it runs on both Apple Silicon (M1 and newer) and Intel Macs. There is no Windows version yet.
macOS says it is from an unidentified developer.
That is expected right now: the installer is not yet signed with an Apple
Developer ID. Right-click the .pkg and choose Open rather than
double-clicking it, then confirm. You only have to do it once.
If you install the plug-ins by hand instead of using the installer, clear the
quarantine flag macOS puts on downloads with
xattr -cr on the copied .vst3 and
.component. The read-me in the download spells this out.
Does it phone home while I work?
No. The plug-in talks to us exactly once, when you activate it. It then holds a signed licence on your own machine and verifies that locally, so an offline studio, a plane, or our server being down changes nothing about a session that is already running.
The account is how the licence gets to you, not a second lock on it.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
One at a time. You can install it on as many machines as you like, but the licence is active on one, and you move it yourself: sign in to your account, press Release next to the computer you are leaving, then sign in on the new one. It takes seconds and does not involve us.
That also covers the awkward cases. If a laptop is stolen, dies or gets wiped, you release it from the website rather than from a machine you no longer have.
What about updates?
Every 0.x update is free and your activation carries over. You download the new build from your account and install over the old one, without signing in again. We will say clearly in advance if a future 1.0 is ever a paid upgrade.
Can I get a refund?
Digital goods are delivered immediately, so the statutory EU right of withdrawal is waived at checkout, which is why we are blunt above about what does and does not run. If the plug-in genuinely does not work on a supported machine and we cannot fix it, mail us and you get your money back.
